DIY Postcard with Fabric Flaps:

This is a doddle DIY about how to make a postcard with a piece of fabric and a bit of watercolor paper. This tutorial is perfect for a postcard swapping or to send to your dearest pen pal. We chose one of our nice fabrics with a air balloon to adorn our postcard, always try to find a nice fabric with a beautiful pattern for these kind of projects to achieve an amazing result.

Materials:
  • Nice pattern of fabric;
  • Thread;
  • Thick Paper like watercolor paper, we can find it on fine art shop, sometimes you can bought it with postal format.

1. The first thing we begin to do is to cut the outline of the balloon. We leave a border of about 3 millimeters to highlight ii on the paper.

2. Once the flap is cut off from the remaining fabric, we place it over the paper. After, we glue a bit of the back fabric on the paper which helps to stabilize the flap and will facilitate the next step: the sewing step.

3. Sew the balloon flap on the paper, you can do it with a sewing machine or by hand, as you wish, but with the sewing machine is easier and faster.
And voilá: It’s done, it is as easy as drinking a glass of water, the legerdemain of this tutorial is to cut nicely the fabric flap and be patience when you are sewing it, especially if you choose to hand sew the postcard.

DIY Postal con tejido:

Os vamos a enseñar como hacer una postal con tejido. Es un DIY muy sencillo perfecto para hacer postales para intercambiarlas con iniciativas como el postcrossing. Nosotros elegimos una tela que teniamos olvidada por casa, con un globo. Vamos a explicar el paso a paso:

Materiales:
  • Tela bonita
  • Hilo
  • Papel grueso, ya lo compramos en una papeleria con este formato.

1. Lo primero que vamos a hacer es cortar el contorno del globo. Dejamos un borde de unos 3 milimetros para que resalte en el papel.

2. Una vez cortado lo colocamos sobre el papel. Le ponemos un poco de cola en la parte de atrás para fijarlo en el papel y facilitarnos el trabajo de coser.

3. Cosemos el globo a la postal,podeis hacerlo a máquina o a mano, eso queda a vuestra elección.

Está hecho, ya veis que es muy sencillo, el truco del tutorial es una tela mona y paciencia, especialmente si lo coséis a mano.
